PLANTARUM BIOTECH produces premium quality tissue-cultured Lakatan (Red Orange Variety), Cavendish (Grand Naine, Tall Williams), Cardava, Latundan, and Abaca seedlings for commercial plantation, local private farmers, and Local Government Units supporting banana farmers in their localities.
We also provide banana meriplants (in vitro plants) for nursery operators. For clients outside Mindanao, meriplants are shipped direct via Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific. Although we focus on banana tissue culture, we also produce tissue-cultured seedlings of other agricultural crops on a per order basis.

Plantarum Biotech Company is registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission under Registration No. PG200730719 in September 2007 and annnually with the Local Government of General Santos City and other local regulatory agencies. Our nursery is located at Pk. 3, along National Highway in Barangay Katangawan, General Santos City. A central nursery will be established in Davao City in 2012.
Plant Tissue Culture Technology
Tissue culture techniques provide manifold and versatile approaches to establish reliable in vitro protocol to multiply en masse economically important crops. Due to the high demand for bananas (Lakatan, Cavendish, and Cardava) locally and abroad, the main products of Plantarum Biotech are readily plantable tissue-cultured banana seedlings for commercial plantation and banana meriplants for nursery operators.
Target agricultural crops other than banana for customization and optimization of tissue-culture protocols are bamboo, rattan, ornamental plants, and Philippine hardwood, among others. PLANTARUM BIOTECH continues to work on improving standard protocols in the micropropagation of high-value crops.
